As I have been so very busy of late pursuing other projects, I am pleased to present Kate Loving Shenk, an internet friend of mine met last summer through a telesummit about writing transformational books. Kate is leaping forward with fierce determination to spread good prayers in the world and I invite you to get to know her work a little better.

Welcome to day # 3 of the Prayer Prescription: Spiritual Remedies For Long
Lasting Health Virtual Book Tour! Kip is gracious to feature my book on his
blog today, and I thank him very much.
I joke around in this video about
Zen and the Art of the Prayer Prescription, a take off on Kip's own book, Zen
And The Art Of The Mid-Life Crisis. Let's face it, we all have such a
crisis, at one time if not more times in our lives. I started writing prayers as
a last ditch attempt to save my own life, because various family issues were
looming precariously over a cliff, and my beloved dogs were soon going to pass
on to the next dimension.
Writing prayers has a calming effect on the
psyche. When the inside is at peace, nothing on the outside can go wrong. The
harmonizing effect of prayer tends to quiet the mind and brings peace to every
other mind, also. It truly is a miracle.
Thank you for celebrating the
publication of my book with Kip and me. The book is due for publication in mid
to end of May.

Thank you, Kip! I have a question for your readers, today. Do you use Prayer in your daily life? If so, how has this practice helped you? Do you see Prayer as a religious or spiritual practice?
Or both?
Prayer is a daily opportunity to experience my own connection to the whole. I forget Sometimes in my daily business that support is always there but I must remember to open the door. Prayer is water for my Spirit
Thanks Samantha, for stopping by!! Opening the door--That is exactly what prayer really is--Opening the door to spirit. Once that door opens, amazing miracles and magic occur spontaneously.
I pray very informally every day. I see prayer as an ongoing conversation I have all day long with the god of my understanding. I pray more formally at certain times. For example, if I'm asked to do a Tarot card reading, I settle myself down and send a focused prayer for guidance. Or, if I hear of an illness or a need, I also pray in a more focused fashion. So, my answer is yes, I pray every day all day in a casual conversation with god. ~ Jordan
Jordan, that describes a beautiful practice. I know that when I hear a story that has to do with suffering, I always say a little prayer. When someone is sick or dying, I do the same thing. It is an elevator to higher consciousness!!
I have been experimenting (as I look for full time income, with much more direct prayer than my usual "Zen" mindfulness. The experiences of quick relief in moments of utter surrender are quite eye-opening. When stress rises, I seek peace of mind inwards and it immediately gets better outwards!
Kip, coming to your page here and listening to your music--is a prayer. Thank you!!
Dear Kip, Thank you for hosting me on your blog, today!! I loved every moment! Cheers!
